Efficient communication is the backbone of every practice. Number Intelligence—formerly known as Number Validation—helps reduce interruptions, block spam calls, validate numbers, and identify unknown callers so you can focus on patient care.


⚠️ Important: Starting November 25, 2024, Number Intelligence will automatically be enabled for all accounts currently using Number Validation. Review your settings before this date to ensure they align with your preferences.

  • Identify Unknown Callers – Retrieves caller names to personalize patient or lead interactions.

How to Use Number Intelligence

1. Enable Number Intelligence

  • Go to Settings > Phone Numbers > Advanced Settings > Number Intelligence.

  • Check the boxes to activate:

    • Spam Detection

    • Caller ID Lookup

    • Number Validation

2. Configure Preferences (Opting Out)

  • Opt out now: Go to Settings > Phone Numbers > Advanced Settings > SMS Compliance and disable Number Validation.

  • Opt out later (after Nov 25, 2024): Disable Number Intelligence under Advanced Settings > Number Intelligence.

3. Web vs. Mobile Access

  • Web App: Full access to Spam Detection, Name Lookup, and Number Validation.

  • Mobile App: Access to Name Lookup and Number Validation (Spam Detection not yet supported).

4. Filtering and Identification

  • Spam calls flagged as “Spam Likely” on the web dialer.

  • Caller names automatically retrieved for unknown numbers.

  • Invalid SMS-capable numbers trigger alerts before sending messages.

5. Call Handling with Spam Detection

  • All flagged spam calls appear in the Contacts tab with a “Spam Likely” tag for easy review.
