Understanding URL Paths

Overview

Managing URL paths correctly in PXME helps you organize domains, funnels, and websites. A URL path is everything that comes after your domain (for example, in www.google.com/maps, /maps is the path). Paths allow you to direct visitors to specific pages, funnels, or steps, and they also play an important role in SEO and site structure.

Before using paths, make sure your domain(s) are set up. (See tutorials on domains, DNS records, and domain redirects for details.)

Step 1: How to Access and Edit Domains

  1. Navigate to Settings > Domains

  2. Find the domain you want to manage and click the Edit icon

  3. Choose the Default Page for your domain

    • Without a path, your domain will always load the default page

Example:

  • www.google.com → Google homepage

  • www.google.com/maps → Google Maps page

? You can change which page a visitor lands on when they enter just the base domain (no path).

Step 2: Updating URL Paths in Funnels

  1. Go to Funnels and open the funnel you want to edit

  2. Click Settings to assign a domain to the funnel

  3. Add a path to differentiate funnels using the same domain

Example:

  • Domain: www.thedemoaccount.com

  • Path: /demofunneltwosteporderform

  • Final URL: www.thedemoaccount.com/demofunneltwosteporderform

Editing a Specific Funnel Step

  1. Navigate to Funnel Steps > Publishing

  2. Click the Edit icon under the step name

  3. Update the Page Path and save

? Each funnel step can have its own unique path:

Nested URL Paths

PXME also supports nested URLs with multiple path segments, which are helpful for SEO and structured navigation.

Examples:

  • /home/one

  • /profile/user1

  • /products/category/item123

  • /webinar/2025/july

Nested paths can be used for funnels, websites, e-commerce, or webinars.

Key Use Cases

  • Default Page Setup – Control what loads when visitors enter your root domain

  • Multiple Funnels per Domain – Assign unique paths to separate funnels

  • Step-Specific URLs – Give each funnel step its own organized path

  • SEO-Friendly Structures – Use nested paths for blogs, product pages, or events
