Overview

Tags in PXME are an easy way to categorize, organize, and segment your contacts for better communication and reporting. When importing a new contact list, you can assign tags automatically—either tailored per contact through your CSV file or applied to the entire list during the import process. This ensures contacts are instantly organized the moment they’re added to PXME.

Option 1: Add Tags per Contact (via CSV file)

Use this method if you want different contacts to have different tags.

  1. In your CSV file, create a column titled Tags.

  2. Enter the tag(s) for each contact in that column.

  3. Separate multiple tags with commas.

Example:

  • John Doe → Test1, TestTag

  • Jane Smith → Test1

When you import the file, PXME will automatically create and apply these tags to the respective contact records.

Option 2: Add Tags to the Entire List (during Import)

Use this method if you want the same tag(s) applied to all contacts in the upload.

  1. Start the import process (Contacts > Import Contacts).

  2. In Step 3: Details, locate the Tags section.

  3. Enter one or more tags.

    • You can use existing tags or create new ones.

Example:
Adding the tag ThisIsATest will apply it to every contact in the file.

FAQs

Both. PXME lets you apply existing tags or create new ones on the fly.

Q4: What’s the difference between the two options?
