Editing Pending and Processing Bulk Actions

Created by PX Marketing, Modified on Tue, 19 Aug at 3:09 PM by PX Marketing

Overview

The Bulk Actions feature in PXME allows you to run large-scale actions—such as SMS blasts, email campaigns, or workflow assignments—across multiple contacts at once. With the Send in Drip Mode option, you can break these actions into smaller, scheduled batches (e.g., 10 contacts per hour or 100 contacts per day).

If you need to make adjustments after scheduling, your editing options depend on whether the bulk action is still queued (pending) or already processing.

Step 1: Check Bulk Action Status

  1. Go to Contacts → Bulk Actions at the top.

  2. Review the Status column:

    • Queued (Pending): The action is scheduled but hasn’t started yet.
Example: An email drip set to begin next week.

    • Processing: The action has already started sending in batches.
      Example: A campaign that’s 33% complete on a multi-day send.

Step 2: Edit a Bulk Action

If the Bulk Action is Queued (Pending)

  • Open the 3-dot menu in the Actions column.

  • Click Edit.

  • Update the delivery schedule (e.g., change the start date, timing, or frequency).

  • Save changes.

  • Updates will apply as long as the first batch has not yet been sent.

If the Bulk Action is Processing

  • Open the 3-dot menu in the Actions column.

  • Click Edit.

  • You can only adjust the batch quantity (e.g., change from 10 emails per hour to 25 per hour).

  • Save changes.

  • Updates take effect immediately for the remaining batches.

FAQs

Q: What can I do with Bulk Actions?
A: Bulk Actions let you send SMS/email blasts, add contacts to workflows, or deliver drip campaigns in scheduled batches.

Q: How does “Send in Drip Mode” work?
A: It breaks a bulk send into smaller batches sent on a set schedule (e.g., 100 emails per day for 10 days).

Q: Can I edit a Bulk Action after scheduling?
A: Yes. If Queued, you can edit the schedule. If Processing, you can only adjust the batch size.

Q: How do I know if an action is queued or processing?
A: Check the Status column. Queued = not started. Processing = already sending.

Q: Can I stop a Bulk Action completely?
A: No. You can reduce the batch size while it’s processing, or cancel and recreate the action with new settings.
