Overview

The PXME Social Planner lets you connect and manage multiple social media accounts from one place. By connecting your Facebook Pages and Groups, you can create, schedule, and publish posts directly through PXME. You can also connect Google My Business (GMB) to manage local updates alongside your Facebook content.

This guide walks you through the setup process, explains required permissions, and covers how to manage your connected accounts.

Before You Start

  • You must have Admin rights to the Facebook Page(s) you want to connect.

  • Log in with the Facebook profile that has Admin access to those Pages.

  • Facebook’s API only supports posting to business Pages and Groups (not personal profiles).

  • If you’ve already connected Pages but want to add new ones:

    1. Remove the PXME Social Planner application in Facebook Settings > Business Integrations.

    2. Reconnect following the steps below.

Step 1: Connect Your Facebook Page(s)

  1. In PXME, go to Marketing > Social Planner.

  2. Click the gear icon (Settings) in the top right.

  3. Select Connect to Facebook.

  4. If connecting for the first time:

    • Enable permissions for LeadConnector.

    • Click Continue.

  5. PXME will display a list of all Facebook Pages connected to your profile.

  6. Select the Page(s) you want to connect.

  7. Click Next to complete setup.

✅ You can repeat this process to add multiple Pages, even from different profiles.

Step 2: Verify Your Connection

  • Return to the Social Planner Dashboard to confirm your Pages and/or Groups are active.

  • Classic Pages: Use the standard connection process.

  • New Page Experience: Make sure you’ve granted the correct Page role permissions so PXME can post on your behalf.

Step 3: Manage Your Connected Accounts

From Social Planner > Settings (gear icon):

  • Add new Facebook Pages, Groups, or GMB accounts.

  • Remove accounts you no longer want connected.

  • Switch between multiple accounts for posting and scheduling.

Note on Facebook API Upgrades

PXME uses the latest version of the Facebook API, which fixes many older connection issues.

  • Past errors like “page doesn’t have adequate permissions” usually happened if:

    • LeadConnector didn’t have full access, or

    • You only had Business Manager access (not direct Admin access).

  • With the new API, if you’re an Admin of the Page, you should connect without issues.
