Overview

Redirecting your domain ensures visitors always land on the correct version of your site, improving SEO consistency and preventing duplicate content issues. This guide shows you how to redirect traffic from the www version of your domain to the non-www version using PXME account settings (Cloudflare is shown as an example, but the process applies to any DNS host).

⚠️ Note: Both the www and non-www versions of your domain must be configured in your PXME account for the redirect to work.

Part 1: Setting Up the Domain

  1. Navigate to Settings > Domains > Connect a Domain

  2. Add the non-www version of your domain (e.g., thedemoaccount.com)

  3. You’ll see an option to also add the www version – toggle this on

  4. Click Continue

    • If configuring manually, choose Add record manually and create the provided DNS records

    • Otherwise, choose Authorize domain to let PXME handle it

  5. Confirm both the www and non-www versions appear in your Domains list

Part 2: Setting Up the Redirect

  1. Go to Settings > URL Redirects

  2. Click Add a Redirect

  3. In the Domain field, select the www version of your domain

  4. Leave the Path field blank

  5. Set Redirect Type to All

  6. In the Target Domain field, select the non-www domain

  7. Click Add Redirect

Part 3: Testing the Redirect

  1. Go to your funnel/website settings and connect the non-www domain

  2. Open a new browser tab and enter your domain with www (e.g., www.thedemoaccount.com)

  3. The system should automatically redirect you to the non-www version (e.g., thedemoaccount.com)

FAQs: Redirecting Domains from www to Non-www

Q1: What should I do if the redirect isn’t working?

  • Confirm both www and non-www versions are added in Settings > Domains

  • Verify your URL Redirect settings: the www domain should be the source, and the non-www domain the target

Q2: Can I redirect multiple domains at once?
No. Each domain must be configured individually. Repeat the process for each domain.

Q3: Do I have to use Cloudflare?
No. The process is the same with other DNS hosts. Just ensure DNS records are correct and the redirect is set up properly.

Q4: Why is the www version still showing after I set up the redirect?

  • This is usually a caching issue. Clear your browser cache and DNS cache, then retry

  • Double-check that the non-www domain is connected to your funnel/website

Q5: How can I confirm my redirect is working?

  • Enter your www domain in a browser – it should forward automatically to the non-www version

  • In Settings > Domains, hover over the domain to see the redirect string (e.g., “This domain is redirected to example.com”)
