How To Move and Copy Actions in the Workflow Builder

Overview

When building workflows, you may want to reorder or duplicate actions without having to delete and rebuild them. PXME makes this easy with Move and Copy options so you can quickly reorganize workflows or replicate actions across multiple workflows.

Moving Actions Within a Workflow

Step 1: Access the Workflow

• Navigate to Automation > Workflows and either create a new workflow or edit an existing one.

Step 2: Select the Action to Move

• Click the three-dot menu next to the action you want to move.

Step 3: Choose the Move Option

• From the menu, select one of the following:

  • Move Action – Moves only that specific action.

  • Move All Actions From Here – Moves that action and all following actions.

Step 4: Place the Action

• Click the Move Here button in the spot you want to reposition the action.

Step 5: Save Your Changes

• Confirm and save to apply the changes.

⚠️ Important Note: Moving an If/Else action will also move all of the steps beneath it, including the Yes and None branches. Review and adjust conditions after moving to ensure logical flow.

Copying Workflow Actions Across Workflows

PXME allows you to copy and paste actions from one workflow into another, saving time and reducing errors.

How to Copy and Paste Actions

1. In the source workflow, click the three-dot menu on the action.

2. Select Copy Action or Copy All Actions From Here.

3. Navigate to the target workflow (same or different tab).

4. Use the Quick Paste button next to the + button, or select Paste Below from another action’s menu.

5. Validate the pasted actions and save the workflow.

Q1: How can I move an action without recreating it?
A: Use the three-dot menu next to the action, choose Move Action or Move All Actions From Here, then select Move Here to reposition.

Q2: What happens if I move an If/Else action?
A: All steps beneath it—including Yes and None branches—will move as well. Be sure to review conditions after rearranging.
