Overview

Submitting mock data is a great way to test how your form or survey behaves and confirm that information flows correctly into PXME. By simulating real user submissions, you can check whether the data is captured in contact profiles, validate redirect or thank-you actions, and ensure the setup is ready before going live.

Step 1: Create or Edit Your Form/Survey

  1. Navigate to the Builder

    • Go to Sites > Forms/Surveys > Builder

    • Select the form or survey you want to test

  2. Add Fields and Customize

    • Left Panel: Drag in standard or custom fields (e.g., Name, Email, Custom Questions)

    • Right Panel: Adjust styles, layouts, and design settings

  3. Save Your Work

    • Once elements and styles are configured, click Save

Step 2: Add the Form/Survey to a Funnel or Website

  1. Open the page editor where you want the form or survey to be placed

  2. Drag in the Form/Survey element

  3. Click the element to open settings on the right

  4. Adjust submit options (redirects, thank-you messages, etc.)

  5. Click Save

Step 3: Submit Mock Data

  1. Click the Eye (Preview) icon in the funnel/website editor

  2. Fill out the form as if you were a real user

    • Use dummy info such as test@example.com or John Doe

  3. Click Submit

⚠️ Note: Submitting mock data will also create a test contact in your Contacts tab.

Step 4: Review the Results

  1. Go to Forms/Surveys > Submissions

  2. Filter by the form or survey you tested

  3. Locate your submission and click the Submitted At timestamp

  4. View the detailed breakdown of the mock submission on the right
