Overview
Creating an Ad Account inside Meta Business Suite ensures that your business—not an individual—owns and controls the account. This setup is critical for secure advertising management, centralized billing, and giving your team or partners proper access without sharing logins.
Why Create an Ad Account in Meta Business Suite?
Business Ownership – The Suite, not a personal profile, owns the account.
Secure Access – Assign roles and permissions without sharing personal credentials.
Centralized Billing – Manage payment methods, receipts, and ad spend in one place.
Scalability – Run multiple ad accounts for different brands, locations, or campaigns.
Steps to Create an Ad Account
1. Log into Meta Business Suite
Go to business.facebook.com.
Select your business from the menu.
2. Navigate to Business Settings
In the left-hand menu, click Business Settings.
3. Go to Ad Accounts
Under Accounts, select Ad Accounts.
Click Add → Create a New Ad Account.
4. Fill in Ad Account Details
Name your ad account (e.g., PXMP Workshop Ads).
Choose your time zone and currency carefully (these cannot be changed later).
5. Assign Ownership
Select My Business to ensure your business owns the account.
Avoid selecting personal ownership, as it can cause billing and access issues.
6. Set Permissions
Assign yourself and/or other admins full access.
Add employees or partners with appropriate roles:
Admin – Full access
Advertiser – Can create and manage ads
Analyst – Can view reports only
7. Add a Payment Method
Go to Payment Settings.
Add a business credit card or another approved payment method.
Best Practices
Use Business Payment Methods – Never use personal cards for business ads.
Separate Ad Accounts – Create distinct ad accounts for each brand or location.
Keep Ownership with the Suite – Avoid ad accounts tied to personal profiles.
Assign Roles Wisely – Grant admin access only to trusted team members; most users should be set as Advertisers or Analysts.
