Overview
The Meta Pixel is an essential tracking tool that helps you measure the effectiveness of your Facebook and Instagram ads. By installing it in PXME, you can track visitor behavior on your websites and funnels, optimize ad performance, and build better retargeting audiences. When paired with the Conversions API, you’ll achieve the most accurate tracking possible.
Step 1: Create a Pixel in Meta Business Suite
Go to Meta Business Suite at business.facebook.com.
From the left-hand menu, select Data Sources → Pixels.
Click Add, then name your Pixel (ex: PXME Website Pixel).
Enter your website URL if prompted.
Click Continue to save your Pixel.
Step 2: Get Your Pixel Tracking Code
Once created, Meta provides a Pixel Tracking Code.
Copy this code — you’ll need it to connect PXME.
Step 3: Add the Pixel to PXME
Log into PXME.
Navigate to Settings → Custom Values → Folders → Paid Ads → Meta Tracking Code.
Paste your Pixel Tracking Code into the custom value.
Copy the Meta Tracking Code custom value key.
Navigate to Sites → Select Folder → Select Funnel → Settings → Head Tracking Code.
Paste the Meta Tracking Code custom value key.
Save changes.
PXME will now automatically add your Pixel tracking code to your funnel.
Step 4: Verify Installation
Install the Meta Pixel Helper Chrome Extension.
Visit your PXME funnel or landing page.
Click the extension icon — your Pixel should appear as “firing.”
If it doesn’t show:
Clear your cache and reload the page.
Double-check that your Pixel ID is correct.
Step 5: Set Up Standard Events
To maximize tracking accuracy, configure events for actions like form submissions, purchases, or bookings.
In PXME:
Go to Automations → Facebook Conversions API / Events Setup.
Map your chosen actions (form submissions, purchases, appointments, etc.) to Meta Standard Events such as Lead, Purchase, or CompleteRegistration.
Best Practices
Use both Pixel + Conversions API for the most complete tracking.
Test events in Meta Events Manager → Test Events to confirm data is firing correctly.
Always ensure your Pixel is linked to the correct Ad Account in Meta Business Suite.
