Overview
Setting up your email inside PXME ensures that your practice sends professional, branded messages that land in inboxes (instead of spam). This process involves creating an email subdomain, adding DNS records, and verifying them. If you run into trouble, PXME also offers alternative setup options.
Standard Email Setup
In PXME, go to Settings → Email Services.
Click Create Dedicated Domain.
Enter a subdomain for your practice (e.g., mail.yourdomain.com).
Best practice: Always use a subdomain rather than your main domain.
PXME will generate DNS records (TXT, CNAME, MX).
Copy the provided records and add them to your DNS provider (e.g., GoDaddy, Cloudflare, Squarespace).
Return to PXME and click Verify once records have been saved.
After verification, go to Settings → Email Services → Dedicated Domain and IP and set headers for your subdomain.
✅ Once verified, all emails sent through PXME will use your branded subdomain, improving deliverability and professionalism.
Alternative Email Setup Options
If you’re unable to add DNS records manually:
Option 1: Automatic DNS Setup
PXME can automatically add email DNS records for supported providers.
Make sure you’re logged into your domain registrar (GoDaddy, Cloudflare, etc.) in the same browser.
Select the automatic setup option inside PXME and follow the prompts.
Option 2: Domain Provider Assistance
If automatic setup isn’t supported, contact your provider’s support team.
Share the DNS records PXME generated and request they add them for you.
Once records are added, return to PXME and click Verify.
Best Practices for Email Setup
Always use a subdomain (e.g., mail.yourdomain.com) instead of your root domain.
DNS records may take 24–48 hours to propagate.
Set your email headers after verification to ensure proper branding.
Send test emails before launching campaigns to confirm deliverability.
