Overview

The Restore Calendar feature in PXME allows you to recover deleted calendars along with their associated appointments. This prevents accidental data loss and saves time compared to rebuilding calendars from scratch.

Important Points to Know

  • Deleting a calendar also deletes all appointments tied to it.

  • Appointments deleted within ±30 minutes of the calendar deletion will be restored.

  • Appointments deleted outside of this 30-minute window cannot be recovered.

  • Audit logs are only retained for 60 days, so restoration must be completed within that timeframe.

Example:
If a calendar is deleted on May 15 at 10:00 AM:

  • Appointments deleted at the same time (10:00 AM) will be restored.

  • Appointments deleted between 9:30–10:30 AM will be restored.

  • Appointments deleted before 9:00 AM will not be restored.

This ensures only appointments tied to the calendar deletion are recovered.

How to Restore a Deleted Calendar

  1. Go to Audit Logs

    • Navigate to Settings > Audit Logs.

  2. Find the Deleted Calendar

    • Locate the log entry for the deleted calendar.

  3. Restore the Calendar

    • Click the three dots next to the log entry.

    • Select Restore.

Your calendar, along with its appointments, will now be restored.

Benefits

  • Quick Recovery – Restore calendars and appointments in just a few clicks.

  • Saves Time – Avoid manually rebuilding calendars and re-entering appointments.

  • Data Integrity – Keeps calendars and appointments properly connected when restored.

FAQ

Q1: Why can’t I restore a calendar deleted over 60 days ago?
Because audit logs are only kept for 60 days. After that period, recovery is no longer possible.

Q2: Can I restore appointments deleted outside the 30-minute window?
No. Only appointments deleted within ±30 minutes of the calendar deletion are restored.

Q3: What happens if restored appointments conflict with existing ones?
The restored appointments will be re-added to the calendar. You’ll need to manually review and resolve any conflicts.
