Overview

PXME integrates with your iCloud Calendar to keep scheduling seamless for Apple users. Once connected, your iCloud events stay in sync with PXME calendars, helping you manage availability and avoid conflicts.

⚠️ Note: iCloud integration is supported for Class Booking, Round Robin, Collective, and Service Calendars. It is not supported for Simple Calendars.

Step 1: Get Your App-Specific Password from Apple

PXME requires an app-specific password from Apple, which is different from your normal Apple ID password.

  1. Go to appleid.apple.com and log in.

  2. Navigate to Sign-In and Security > App-Specific Passwords.

  3. Click the + button to create a new password.

  4. Give it a recognizable name (e.g., “PXME Calendar”).

  5. Copy and securely store the password—you’ll need it for integration.

Step 2: Connect iCloud with PXME

  1. Log in to your PXME account.

  2. Go to Settings > My Profile.

  3. Scroll to Calendar Settings.

  4. Find iCloud Calendar and click Connect.

  5. Enter your iCloud email and the app-specific password.

  6. Once connected, the status will show Connected.

Step 3: Configure Your Primary Calendar

  1. Return to My Profile.

  2. Under Primary Calendar, click Edit.

  3. Select your iCloud account and choose your primary calendar.

  4. Configure additional settings such as conflict checks.

Linked & Conflict Calendars

  • Linked Calendar – All new PXME events sync here so you can view them in iCloud.

  • Conflict Calendar – Imports iCloud events into PXME to block availability.

    • Events marked BUSY in iCloud will block time in PXME.

    • Events marked FREE import into PXME but do not block availability.

? Note: Writer’s access is required to select a calendar as linked. By default, your linked calendar is also your conflict calendar.

Limitations of iCloud Integration

  • Contacts – PXME does not create contacts from iCloud events. Imported events only block time.

  • Blocked Slots – Blocked slots created in PXME do not sync back to iCloud.

  • Subscription Calendars – PXME cannot connect to iCloud subscription calendars (via URL/public feeds).

  • Deletions – If you delete an event in iCloud, it will not be removed from PXME.

Important Notes

  • Two-Way Sync:

    • Events created in PXME sync to iCloud.

    • Events created in iCloud sync to PXME (except deletions).

  • Availability Respect: PXME follows iCloud’s Busy vs. Free status when determining available time slots.
