Overview

The PXME Email Composer includes CC (Carbon Copy) and BCC (Blind Carbon Copy) fields, giving you flexibility in how you manage multi-recipient communication. With these tools, you can:

  • Involve multiple stakeholders in the same conversation

  • Maintain privacy when needed

  • Streamline collaboration without duplicating emails

Key Features

Multi-Recipient Communication

Add multiple recipients at once, ensuring everyone stays informed without sending separate messages.

Privacy & Confidentiality with BCC

Send emails to multiple people without revealing their addresses to others. This is especially useful for HR updates, newsletters, or vendor coordination.

Seamless Integration

CC/BCC is supported across all PXME email providers:

  • Mailgun

  • LeadConnector 2-Way Sync (Gmail/Outlook)

  • SMTP

  • Custom providers

2-Way Sync Support

When connected to Gmail or Outlook, CC/BCC recipients added in PXME will sync to your external account, and vice versa.

Status Tracking

Delivery statuses (sent, delivered, failed) apply to all recipients, including those in CC and BCC.

Simplified Group Communication

Keep all parties on the same thread for cleaner communication and reduced duplication.

How to Use CC and BCC in PXME

  1. Access the Composer

    • Go to Conversations → click New Email, or open an existing thread → click Reply.

  2. Expand CC/BCC Fields

    • Click CC or BCC under the "To" field.

  3. Add Recipients

    • Type an email address or select from your contact list.

    • Add multiple addresses if needed.

  4. Collapse Fields (Optional)

    • Click again to collapse CC/BCC fields. (Recipients remain saved.)

  5. Sync Across Providers

    • Any changes to CC/BCC recipients will reflect in your connected Gmail/Outlook accounts if using 2-way sync.

  6. Replying to CC/BCC Threads

    • Replies default to Reply All.

    • CC/BCC recipients cannot be removed mid-thread.

Usage Examples

  • Project Updates → Team in "To," leadership in "CC."

  • Customer Communication → Customer in "To," manager/tech in "CC."

  • Confidential HR Case → Employee in "To," HR in "BCC."

  • Mass Announcements → Multiple recipients in "BCC" (privacy protected).

  • Vendor Transparency → Primary vendor in "To," others in "CC."

FAQs

Q1: Will adding an outside email create a new contact in PXME?
No. Adding CC/BCC addresses does not create new contacts.

Q2: What if I add an existing contact’s email in CC/BCC?
The conversation only appears under the primary "To" contact’s thread.

Q3: Is CC/BCC available for all email providers?
Yes. It works with Mailgun, LeadConnector Gmail/Outlook sync, SMTP, and custom providers.

Q4: Why do I sometimes see a Gmail “Delivery Incomplete” error when using BCC?
PXME uses BCC for email logging. Gmail does not receive a delivery receipt for this logging address, so it flags the message — but it is still successfully logged in PXME.

Q5: How does CC/BCC improve communication?

  • Keeps all relevant stakeholders in the loop

  • Maintains privacy when necessary

  • Prevents duplicated or redundant messages
