Overview
A custom reply-to address in PXME lets you control where replies to your outgoing emails are delivered. Instead of landing in your PXME Conversations inbox, responses can be routed to a specific email such as a support inbox, department account, or shared team address. This ensures replies are directed to the right place without relying on your personal inbox.
Steps to Add a Custom Reply-To Address
Navigate to Email Services
Go to Settings > Email Services.
Access Reply and Forward Settings
Click the Reply and Forward Settings tab.
Add a Custom Reply-To Address
Enter the email address where replies should be sent.
Save Your Changes
Click Save to apply.
Important Notes
Once a custom reply-to address is set, all incoming replies will be sent to that address, not to PXME Conversations.
If you want replies to remain visible in PXME, do not use a custom reply-to address.
For contacts: when they click Reply in their inbox, the response is sent directly to the custom reply-to address you configured.
FAQs
Q1: What happens when I set a custom reply-to address?
All replies go to the specified email address instead of PXME Conversations.
Q2: Can I use multiple reply-to addresses?
No. Only one reply-to address can be active at a time. To change it, update the field in settings.
Q3: How do I change or remove the custom reply-to address?
Go to Settings > Email Services > Reply and Forward Settings, then update or delete the address and click Save.
Q4: Will this affect outgoing delivery?
No. Outgoing emails are still sent normally. The setting only changes where replies are routed.
Q5: Why would I use a custom reply-to address?
To direct replies to a support inbox.
To use department-specific addresses (e.g., billing@yourbrand.com, scheduling@yourbrand.com).
To keep personal email separate from patient-facing communication.
Q6: How do I ensure replies are monitored?
Make sure the designated inbox is regularly checked by your team to avoid missed messages.
Q7: What if I don’t receive replies at the custom reply-to address?
Confirm the email address is valid and active.
Check spam/junk or filtering rules.
Re-enter the address in PXME if needed.
