Overview
PXME allows you to integrate Gmail SMTP for sending emails directly to your leads. This option works best for smaller-scale sending but comes with important requirements and limitations.
⚠️ Important:
Starting February 2024, Gmail, Yahoo, and other providers require professional domain email addresses (e.g., name@yourdomain.com) for bulk sending. Free addresses (e.g., Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook.com) are not suitable for campaigns.
If you are located in the Philippines, you may experience Gmail SMTP connection issues. Use a VPN to stabilize connections.
Step 1: Create a Gmail App Password
Log into your Gmail account.
Click your profile icon (top right) → Manage Your Google Account.
From the left menu, select Security.
Make sure 2-step verification is enabled (required to unlock App Passwords).
Scroll down and click App Passwords.
Choose the Gmail address you want to integrate.
Enter your main password when prompted.
Under App Passwords, type a name like SMTP or PXME Integration → click Create.
Copy the generated password. (This will be used in PXME.)
Step 2: Connect Gmail in PXME
In PXME, go to Settings (bottom left).
Select Email Services.
Click Add Service (top right).
Under Select Provider, choose Gmail.
Enter your Gmail address.
Paste the App Password you created in Step 1.
Click Save.
Sending Limits
Personal Gmail accounts → 500 emails / 24 hours
Google Workspace accounts → 2,000 emails / 24 hours
? Note: Sending 1 email to 5 recipients = 5 emails counted toward the limit.
Troubleshooting & Best Practices
Always use the same Gmail address for integration and sending.
Example: If you integrate TestEmail@gmail.com, do not send from SampleEmail@gmail.com.
Mismatched addresses may trigger spam flags.
If in the Philippines, use a VPN to stabilize SMTP connections.
Avoid deliverability issues:
Use a professional domain email for campaigns.
Set up SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records for your domain.
Keep sending practices clean (avoid spammy language, poor list hygiene).
Why a Professional Domain is Required
As of 2024, bulk senders must comply with Gmail/Yahoo’s new requirements:
Professional sending domain (not free Gmail/Yahoo/Outlook).
Properly configured DMARC, SPF, and DKIM.
Stronger reputation management.
Benefits:
Higher deliverability and inbox placement.
Greater sender credibility.
Protection from phishing/spoofing.
