Overview
In PXME, the Email Marketing section is split into two main tools: Email Templates and Email Campaigns. While closely connected, they serve different purposes:
Templates = Reusable layouts (the foundation for your emails).
Campaigns = Actual, customized messages that are scheduled and sent.
Email Templates
What They Are
Email Templates are preset designs that act as the foundation of your emails. They provide structure and consistency across recurring communications.
Why They’re Useful
Save time by reusing designs.
Keep branding consistent.
Provide a repeatable structure for newsletters, promotions, and announcements.
Example Use Cases
Monthly newsletters
Recurring event invitations
Consistent promotional offers
Typical Layout
Header (logo or brand image)
Placeholder section for main content
Footer (contact info, social links, unsubscribe)
Email Campaigns
What They Are
Email Campaigns are the actual, customized emails you send out. You start with a template (or a blank design), then tailor it for that specific send.
How They Work
Add text, images, links, and calls to action (CTAs).
Choose who will receive it (individuals, smart lists, or contact tags).
Schedule or send immediately.
Reuse later by cloning for future campaigns.
Example Use Cases
This month’s newsletter with new content and links.
Workshop reminder customized for registered families.
Special seasonal promotions.
Key Differences Between Templates and Campaigns
Template = Preset Design (Reusable structure)
Campaign = Actual Send (Customized, scheduled, and delivered)
Think of it this way:
Template = Blueprint
Campaign = Finished House
