How to Change the Content of an Ongoing Email Campaign

Created by PX Marketing, Modified on Tue, 19 Aug at 4:19 PM by PX Marketing

Overview

Mistakes in email campaigns happen—whether it’s a typo, a broken link, or missing content. PXME gives you the flexibility to edit certain types of ongoing campaigns before their next scheduled execution. You can also pause or cancel a campaign if you need more time to fix errors or prevent emails from being sent.

What You’ll Need

Edits are only supported for campaigns that meet the following criteria:

  • Simple Schedule campaigns

  • RSS Schedule campaigns

  • Regularly Scheduled campaigns (before the next execution date)

Steps to Edit an Ongoing Campaign

Step 1: Access the Campaign

  1. Go to Marketing > Emails > Campaigns.

  2. Find the campaign you want to modify.

  3. Click the three dots (menu) next to it.

  4. Select Update Email Content.

Step 2: Make Edits

  • Adjust text, images, links, or other elements inside the editor.

  • Click Save when finished.

Step 3: Reschedule or Update Recipients

  • After saving, click Send or Schedule to finalize.

  • You may also adjust delivery timing or recipient lists if needed.

⚠️ Important: PXME cannot guarantee that last-minute edits will be applied before the next server execution. Always edit as early as possible.

Pause and Cancel Options

If you need more time to correct issues or stop delivery entirely:

  • Pause Campaign

    • Stops sending temporarily.

    • You can resume later.

    • Already sent emails cannot be retracted.

  • Cancel Campaign

    • Completely stops all future sends.

    • Useful if you need to fully restart or scrap a campaign.

Notes:

  • Campaigns must be paused or canceled before the scheduled execution.

  • If paused after some emails have already sent, only remaining unsent emails will be stopped.
