Overview
Once your A2P Brand Registration has been approved, the next step is to purchase a phone number inside PXME. This phone number will be used for:
Sending and receiving text messages
Making and receiving phone calls
Running automated campaigns and reminders
Step 1: Navigate to Phone Number Settings
In PXME, go to Settings from the left-hand menu.
Select Phone Numbers.
Step 2: Confirm A2P Approval
Before you can purchase a number, your A2P Brand and Campaign Registration must be approved.
You’ll receive an email notification once your application has been approved.
If not yet approved, wait until both brand and campaign statuses show as Active in the Trust Center.
Step 3: Purchase a Number
From the Phone Numbers screen, click Manage Numbers.
Select Add Number.
Search by area code or location to find a local number.
Choose a number that best represents your practice location.
Click Purchase Number to add it to your account.
Step 4: Assign the Number
Once purchased, your new phone number will appear in your account.
Assign this number to your practice profile and automations.
PXME will now route calls and texts through this number.
Best Practices
Choose a local area code that matches your practice location for trust and recognition.
Avoid frequently swapping numbers — it can confuse patients and hurt deliverability.
Use one dedicated number for campaigns, reminders, and patient communication.

Test inbound and outbound phone calls.
Connect the number to your automations and campaigns.
